Paul Rubens squirrel hairbrushes and weasel hairbrushes are hand-made, using the finest squirrel and weasel hair to create brushes that hold paint exceptionally well and come to a fine point. Squirrel hair is known for its softness, holding capacity, and fine texture that eliminates brushstrokes or voids. These brushes hold large amounts of water and paint, making them ideal for wash and mop techniques.

More comfortable to Hold

The ferrule of the brush features four deep crimps, creating a secure mechanical lock with the handle. Generously-sized and hand-shaped, these brushes allow for full strokes across the paper, perfect for creating beautiful artwork.

How to Properly Wash a New Brush

New brushes are sized with a protective gum that should be washed away by dipping the brush in water and swirling it until the sizing softens. Rinse thoroughly and store flat to dry naturally.

Warm Tips

Avoid leaving brushes soaking in rinse water to prevent damage to the lacquered wooden handle. Not suitable for children under 3 years, use under adult supervision.
